An OCD Christmas

The following transpired verbatim in the MICU earlier this week. Joe and Maggie are the other two upper-level residents with me this month, and in a former life (ie, last year), they were both my interns.

Joe: What did you do on your day off yesterday, Beth?

Me: Not much. But I did go to Hobby Lobby to get new ornaments for the Christmas tree this year.

Maggie: You love Hobby Lobby, don't ya?

Me: Yes, yes I do. And this year Nick is letting me have a color coordinated tree - all red and gold.

Maggie: As opposed to the hodge podge trailer trash type of tree like I have?

Joe: Sounds like an OCD Christmas tree.

Maggie: Ha! Yeah, that sounds about right.

I don't get no respect. But it is lovely, no?
